A police constable who is accused of committing sexual acts with a minor at a police station is to face trial in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on September 21.
Constable Clifford Brown, who was assigned to the Motorised Patrol Division, is charged with three counts of indecent assault.
The incident allegedly took place on June 30, 2009, at the Stony Hill Police Station where Brown was assigned.
Allegations are that on the day in question, three wards of the state were passing the station, when one of them called out to Brown.
The constable reportedly answered and called them into the station. He reportedly took one of the girls, a 16-year-old, to the back of the station where he pushed his tongue in her ears and fondled her breast and vagina.
The constable also allegedly took out his penis and rubbed it against the complainant's breast and ejaculated on her.
The matter was later reported to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse and a file was sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, who later ruled that Brown was to be charged.
Brown was arrested and charged last December and shortly after released on $100,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
